In Washington State, Student Killed By Logging Truck
In Washington State auto accident related news, a Mossyrock High School student was killed while crossing an intersection when an unloaded logging truck hit the pickup truck he was riding in.
Fellow friends and students cried and expressed outrage last Wednesday at the site of the auto accident. The students were protesting the lack of a stoplight at the intersection of Williams Road and U.S. Highway 12, where their 17-year-old senior classmate, Ryan Rashoff, died Tuesday afternoon.
Another student, 17-year-old Benjamin Lamotte, was driving the pickup truck. He is still in critical condition at the Madigan Medical Center in Tacoma. He can provide an excellent WA car accident attorney for most localities of the state of Washington.Dozens of students had gathered at the scene by 10 a.m. They waved signs demanding a new traffic signal at the intersection.
It is reported that the Washington State Patrol and Washington State Department of Transportation officials at the scene were in agreement that there needs to be better signaling at the intersection where the accident occurred.
Washington State patrol officer, Sgt. Jason Ashley, has been quoted as saying the intersection needs a traffic light to replace the flashing red and yellow caution lights that are there now to reduce the possibility of car/auto accidents in the future.
